The Institute of Cooperative Management, Pune was privileged in to have the association and guidance of eminent and well known cooperators like late Shri. Vaikunthbhabi Mehta, Prof. D. G. Karve and Prof. D. R. Gadgil ( Deputy Chairpersons of the Planning Commission ) at different stage of its development.

The Institute is continuously on the move to keep pace with the development in the Cooperative sector, New programmes are being developed to meet the specific requirements of the user organisations. Inspite of infrastrucural limitations the Institute has successfully conducted Management Development Programmes of different types and durations and as many as trainee officers passed through the portals of this Institute every year.

Though we fell proud of our avhievements, we are still not content with it and trying to overcome the present limitations. With the active support of Maharashtra Rajya Sahakari Sangh, the Institute has acquired a piece of land in Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard, Pune 37, and it is hoped that the Institute would be in a position to have its own campus with all amenities in the near future. As a part of it the construction of hostel has already been completed & are in use.
