Sir has assumed charge as the Director of the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune. He is a distinguished academician with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership,

Dr. Mohanty holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Marketing from the University of Reading, United Kingdom, awarded under the prestigious GRiSP scholarship by the CGIAR. He brings a global academic outlook, having undertaken teaching and research assignments both in India and the United States, enriching his perspective on international pedagogical and research practices.

He has held several key academic and administrative positions at IRMA, including HDFC Chair Professor, Associate Professor, Chairperson of the Marketing Area, and Associate Dean. His research interests encompass retailing, consumer behaviour, and services marketing, positioning him to contribute meaningfully to the evolving landscape of cooperative management education and research at VAMNICOM.
